I FINALLY WRITE AGAIN!!

Here I am after so long!!! I have been busy with work and when I come home I usually just think about taking a nap but no, because I also teach English to my cousin Dayana and that way I can make a bit of extra money. This week I will start teching two more teenagers!!! so MORE MONEY!!! yeah, I know money is not the most important but lately I've been using my credit card a lot so I NEED to pay my bills. So I barely have time to go to the computer and play. I pretty much just check my email and that's it. Jen's blog always motivates me to updte my blogg though but there are so many Internet sites where my friends post their news, photos, comments, that really I can't keep up with everyone of them. Seriously! facebook, ldslinkup, bloggs, msn spaces, and who knows how many more. When I decide to join one group there is a new one coming up!. ok Enough of complaining! my life has been CRAZY and fun as usual. Valentine's day was not bad, actually that is not true, it was nasty. I had to work from 2pm until 11pm and even the woman that does the laundry at the hotel left with flowers and chocolate but me. I don't know in other places in the world but here beside the couples, friends exchange presents, cards, candy, anyway, people sell and buy a lot. My friends worked during the day so I didn't see them and then I had to work the evening and if it wasn't for some guests at the hotel that left me a present wrapped in a cute bag of hearts I wouldn't have received anything. It was kinda disappointing when I open the bag and it was a bag of vanilla coffee that they got during their trip, I should have introduced myself as a mormon before I guess. It was nice though and made my valentine.
One of my best friends got married, he is the second one from the group that gets married and at the end of the year there's going to be another wedding of Israel and Esmeralda, they both are from our ward and very good friends of mine. Of course the bride's bouquet was very wanted by all of the girls in the group but none of us got it. I had fun at the wedding and It makes me wonder how our lives as married people are going to be. I still remember when we were kids and now we are adults even though we still act like kids sometimes.

There was a big disappointing time last week that I won't talk about but it made feel so sad the fact that there are people who lie and take advantage of others but that made me think of how Jesus was hurt so much and so many times and in so many different ways that I can't imagine how bad his pain was if my own pain of a broken heart was terrible!!!!. Fortunately the Lord made me feel so good after, he gave me an incredible new friend that made me feel so much better by just keeping me company and talking that evening. I know you would love to hear more about this friend but I will keep it as my little private secret for a while, but yes, it's a HE and he is AMAZING, HE is wonderful.

ok, my boss is in Italy right now visiting her boyfriend. I am jealous, but It is a great responsibility to stay at the office without her and to take decisions. We'll see how this 10 days work out. Ok, This is it for now. I still have to write all this in spanish, some of my friends read it in English and then realize I don't write the same in both languages but it is kinda boring you know. oh Jen, you are an amazing mom and Eric is an amazing dad, I am sure Konrad and Anders will be just fine when you go to France. By the way I had a dream about Konrad last night and he was so sweet helping me to cook something. Please let him know I think of him a lot.

WORK -- TRABAJO

ESTÁ EN ESPAÑOL ABAJO!!!

It is amazing how time goes by so fast and then we stop and look back and see some things that could have been different and others that we wouldn't change a bit. It was difficult to decide what I wanted to do after all the time I had been "playing". Canada, care giver, network marketing, time away from family and friends, finding new family and friends, so many feelings and experiences in a year and a half. So I really had a hard time deciding where I was going to leave resumes and apply for jobs after I came back from Ottawa. It took a lot of praying, pondering and goal setting and well, I am starting my second week as officially employed at Best Western Hotel right at the ocean in my hometown (third week of working) , seriously when I say at the ocean I mean I am typing and seeing it right now. It is hard to get up at 5:30 though so I can be there before 7 am, considering I used to jump out of bed and literally go downstairs to work at 9:00 am. I love my job in Sales at the hotel. It is a 28 rooms hotel right now, it is pretty new and empty these days for the winter season. Tampico-Madero is not a very touristic place so the people we get is mostly from Monterrrey, Coahuila, Mexico City and places where they have buildings, mountains, cars and of course lots of pollution but not the ocean. I am liking my job and everyday I get excited about coming and see what new ideas I can get to help this place to become more successful. Of course I don't know anything about tourism and Hotel Management so I am learning a lot everyday which keeps it interesting. My trainer is named Angel and he is the coolest guy here! He is from south Mexico and he is going back to work in Playa del Carmen, I am going to miss him A LOT. My boss' name is Sandra and his father Juan Manuel, they both are very smart people , fun and more important very human and good bosses. So I am very glad I found this job where I get the chance to get to know incredible people that I can learn from and hopefully I can make a good diference in their lives also. What did I learn from this? well, the Lord is our guide every moment and he wants us to learn every day and he lets us to take our own choices, and it might take time but we can always talk to him and he will hold our hand and will stay there until we find what we want to do, then it feels so good and you know it is a good choice. Also I learned that it is so confusing when you have to choose between all sort of good things, more confusing and difficult than when you have to choose between bad and good.

2006 Christmas and New Years

It was very especial to spend the holidays with my family again. We were really close because my uncle's wife had just given birth to a beautiful baby boy named after his father and grandfather Eustorgio and also Jesus is another of his names, I guess also after his Father and Reedemer. Anyway, Christmas was nice and calmed, December 31st we got together at my parents' house and had our traditional gift exchange, dancing and the nutcrackers that my mother loves to burn, man that woman loves it!!!!. What was the thought that was with me every minute of the last year? God, Thanks for my family. Dad worked as usual.

2005 CHRISTMAS

THE JAKOBS - JENN AND ERIC, ANDERS AND KONRAD AND ADRIANA

lunes, 22 de enero de 2007

OK FRIENDS, since I have been very interested in some of your blogs, especially Jennifer's, I decided to create my own. I think this is a cool way to share moments with you no matter where in the world you are, I think you will like my stories and pictures. Even though most of my friends in MEXICO speak English, I will probably use both Spanish and English to write here.

Then, I just wanted to say how grateful I am for that amazing year in Ottawa. The Jakobs and Mcleans opened their hearts and their home to me and I appreciate it so much and keep a sweet memory of them in my heart. Everything started in the 2005 summer when Sabrina and Jen sent me up to Ottawa with Tandice (well the real intention was to hook me up with a guy), then Tandice introduced me to the Jakobs.

JAKOBS: It was fun seeing Anders as a new born baby and then seeing when he started teething, walking, even talking. Konrad is so much fun to play with and extremely active and such a smart little boy, he learned to count in Spanish in one afternoon and all that just after hearing me counting once, by the way he had just turned 2 years old when that happened. Then I spent Christmas with the Jakobs relatives and I LOVED IT. Eric and Jen's parents are really fun people, both families are kinda loud too, in a good way, in a fun way. Hey!!! my family belongs to that club too where there are only two volumes which are LOUD AND LOUDER!!!. Christmas was amazing, Erin (Eric's little sister) brought me to a store where you can buy all the clothes you can fit in one bag, I wish I had taken a picture of it, I don't even remember how many shirts, pants and even sweaters I got, I am sure it was about 30 pieces in a medium size bag. This was on boxing day. We also went for a banana hot chocolate that I never tried again and still remember badly IT WAS GOOD!.

NEW YEARS ... that is another story. After the Jakob's family tour we went back to Ottawa with a lot of extra pounds, especially after those pays and cookies and the tradicional Turkey soup Eric's dad makes (mmmmmmmmmm yummy) and the delicious butter tarts of Jen´s mom (let me tell you, they are good), so after all that I came back to Ottawa and spent half of dec 31st eve at Darin's friend's place. Darin introduced me to his friends, we had dinner, and before midnight I bussed to the church where there was a stake dance. EVERYONE was there, even that one guy I liked so much and now was dating somebody. But no matter who was there or how loved people were trying to make me feel, I was just MISERABLE. I missed my family A LOT. Then I promised I wouldn't spend any other New Years Eve away from them. I cried, and cried , and cried. I called Sabrina in North Bay to keep crying. And well, 2006 had finished, a long year, I had traveled, I had worked, perhaps I hadn't taken the best decisions about work and career, however those were choices I made and I did see some of my goals to become real, like going to Canada, not to mention some others that didn't go at all in the way I would have wanted.

Mcleans: Brian, Eileen and Alice. My family, my friends, what can I say. They are amazing people who shared with me their lives, their home, their love and uncondicional support for anything I wanted and I decided. Eileen is the best example of sharing I've ever had. Seriously, that woman SHARES and makes people's life better. She shared her daughter with me, what else can I say. Alice gave me so much hapiness, to see her growing, smiling and alway so happy (except when teething) made everyday exciting. _No matter how hard it can get, being a mom must be the best thing ever. I tried a little bit of it and even when some people say they bet now I don't wanna have kids anymore I can say I wanna have my own kids even harder.

ok I have so much to say about my 2006: church, friends, callings, trips, the most beautiful man in the world haha, even about Liliana who dared to live an experience she had never thought she would before. I have written enough for now and I gotta go to Family Home Evening with my family downstairs. I just wanna wish you the BEST for this new year, thanks for all the good times!!!!!
